Champion Galleries is a division of iAsure Group, which has offices in New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong ,Taipei and Tokyo. Company president, Michael Chou, began operating mail bid sales in the Journal of East Asian Numismatics in 1994. The first three stand-alone auctions were held during 1996 and 1997. Starting in 2001 to 2005,iAsure held a series of eBay cobrand online auctions in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and China. During2006, iAsure worked with Beijing Chenxuan Auctions and eBay Eachnet to host the first eBayliveauctions in China.

In December 2007, Champion Hong Kong Auction resumed with sale number 4 held in Hong Kong Holiday Inn Golden Mile. The company's fifth and sixth sales were held in Hong Kong in April and June 2008. In April 2008 selling 131 of 156 Lots realized over US$1,380,000. In June 2008 selling 318 of 352 Lots realized over US $1,914,539. All of these sales were held at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile in Kowloon, where coin shows and coin auctions have been held since 1982.
